Ernströmgruppen has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in the installation and service company AirControl AB. The company, based in Borås, is an authorized Nibe partner. AirControl provides consulting, sales, installation, and service of air-to-air heat pumps as well as comfort cooling. AirControl, which has a turnover of 12 million SEK, 5 employees, is an additional acquisition for Elektrokyl Energiteknik AB under the New Platforms business area.
Through various energy efficiency measures, carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced, an important step in our climate responsibility, as households and buildings account for more than one-third of Sweden's total final energy consumption. Energy efficiency in buildings for private households is a focus area for Ernströmgruppen's New Platforms business area and an important contribution to our vision of a better tomorrow. "The acquisition of AirControl contributes perfectly to our aim to further invest in energy-efficient features in buildings. It is a very interesting niche company in an upcoming industry, and our ambition is to further develop the niche in which they have been so successful together," says Elektrokyl-Energiteknik CEO Anders Johanson.

The takeover will take effect on May 1st, 2023.
