The industrial conglomerate Ernströmgruppen acquires 100% of the shares in BS Elcontrol AB, which will be the third company in electrical engineering and automation in the sphere.
The company specializes in designing and manufacturing control cabinets and automation equipment for controlling machines and facilities. Today, they are one of the leading players in the Swedish and Norwegian markets. The company has sales of approximately SEK 70 million and has approximately 40 employees at its two facilities in Gothenburg and Lithuania.
“One of the most important criteria when we acquire companies is that they are good companies from good people. This is exactly what we get in BS Elcontrol. In addition to being a well-run company with highly competent employees, they also have in-depth product knowledge of energy-efficient control of such industrial applications. This means that they fit very well into our ambition to create sustainable companies that work towards a climate-neutral future.
As long-term, industrial owners, we are constantly looking for exactly these kinds of companies, whose owners want to see their creations live on in someone else's ownership but still continue to remain in the business. The recipe for success in the business model is to let the companies operate under competent management, who with great freedom have the ability to quickly adapt to their customers' wishes while developing towards the future opportunities for digitalisation and sustainable business.
It is our ambition to, together with the staff and the former owners, Jonas Kewenter and Peter Gögelein, continue to develop this fine niche company ", says Ernströmgruppen's CEO Pontus Cornelius.
“We are convinced that Ernströmgruppen will be a stable and long-term owner of BS Elcontrol, and they'll enable further development of the company. For us, it has been important that Ernströmgruppen wants to retain the company's entrepreneurial power, and that the company becomes an important part in developing the electrical cluster within the group. ” says BS Elcontrol's former owners, Peter Gögelein and Jonas Kewenter.
The takeover will take place on June 28, 2019.
